Any company doing paid aeronautical work at SLC without its own lease needs an Aeronautical Services Permit from the Salt Lake City Department of Airports before the first job. The current permit application (May 2025) sets a $1M per occurrence general liability floor, but the December 2024 minimum standards require $2M for non-FBO operators, plus $5M auto liability, with Salt Lake City Corporation and SLCDA named as additional insureds. Mobile washers, detailers and mobile mechanics are not called out by name, so confirm your category with SLCDA Business Services first.
