Airport vendor requirements in Pennsylvania
What vendors need to work at 4 Pennsylvania airports, summarized from each airport's published documents.
-
KAGC Allegheny County AirportWest Mifflin, PA. AGC
Mostly set by agreement
The Allegheny County Airport Authority runs AGC, and its rules limit business use of the airport to what the rules or a written ACAA agreement allow. Every vendor, contractor and subcontractor must file a certificate of insurance naming ACAA as additional insured. Badges come from the AGC Badging Office (by appointment, 412-469-6431) with a tenant sponsor's signature and a $30 application fee.
-
KABE Lehigh Valley International AirportAllentown, PA. ABE
Published requirements
Any aeronautical business at ABE, including aircraft cleaning and washing, needs a written agreement approved by the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority, whether or not you are based on the field. The Authority runs the airport's FBO itself, so there is no private FBO to work under. The number to plan around is $5M general liability, plus a $500 application fee and a $1,500 annual use fee.
-
KPNE Northeast Philadelphia AirportPhiladelphia, PA. PNE
Partly published
GA aircraft at PNE park at an FBO, so vendors in practice work through the FBOs, which certify access needs for their employees and subtenants. Aircraft washing requires prior written approval from the Department of Aviation CEO, with approved washing fluids and no wash water to sewers without a separator. Insurance amounts are set by the Department of Aviation and are not published.
-
KPHL Philadelphia International AirportPhiladelphia, PA. PHL
Partly published
General aviation at PHL runs through one FBO, Atlantic Aviation, and no GA vendor minimum standards are published. Badges are issued only through a company's Authorized Signer (an airport employer, tenant or leaseholder), and anyone driving unescorted on the airfield needs the company to carry $10M business auto liability naming the Department of Aviation as additional insured. Fingerprints are $32 and a badge is $33; a lost badge starts at $100.
